Matt – Thanks for the comment. We put Arkaham Horror on the gift guide in the gamers section because of what we hear from the gamer that play it. However, we actually haven’t played it ourselves – which is why we don’t have a review of it. But it gets praises from many gamers.

I just noticed something – Arkham Horror appears on your 2011 gift guide, but it doesn’t look like there is a full review on the site. Are you planning on ever doing one? I’d be very interested in reading it!

Camille – thanks for the great comments and we’re happy to hear our reviews have been helpful.
I’ve been curious about Mr. jack for a number of years because it looks like a great 2-player game, but we haven’t tried it yet. Thanks for the encouraging comments about it.

Our family is also very into board games and are constantly trying to find new empty shelves because we are always getting more. 🙂 It’s always fun to try out new ones, and I’m so grateful you’ve taken the time to review so many, as your reviews have introduced me to some games I may not have heard about otherwise!

Recent games you just introduced in this post that look very fun is Ninja and Yinsh. I’m always on the look for new two player games for the days not everyone is available to play. Since you gave me another excellent suggestion, I thought I’d share one as well, especially as you’ve mentioned how much your family enjoys Hive. Perhaps our family’s favorite two player game (and one of the games we play the most) is Mr. Jack. It is an extremely fun deduction and strategy game, where one person plays Jack the Ripper trying not to be discovered, and the other player plays the Inspector trying to figure out which character Mr. Jack is before the game ends on the eighth turn. It’s similar to Hive in that each character has a special ability and movement, and it’s a battle to try and outwit your opponent. The game is family friendly and is not morbid like it sounds; there is no killing, just deduction. There are two versions, New York and the original London, plus a London expansion and a Pocket version. All of them contain slightly different strategies while maintaining the same core game play, so you can’t go wrong with any of them. I like them all! 🙂

You’ve probably already heard of it and already own it, but in case you didn’t, I thought I’d pass it along as you’ve given me so many ideas from this site. Thank you for your wonderful reviews. I especially love the Top Ten Lists and Game Guides! I look forward to more!

P.S. I’m also LDS from Utah, the Cottonwood Heights area. 🙂
