I would disagree. Bang is certainly limited in strategy Morso than the card game but there is still opportunity to use it. Since you “must” resolve your dice each round part of the strategy is not being stuck with dice that will adversely affect a potential ally. Trying to pull the last arrow, using the gatling gun etc.. are all strategies.

I introduced my kids to Bang Dice a few yrs back and it is always with us when we travel to hockey tournaments, family gathering or just road trips. Definitely one of the best games I’ve bought.. and our playing with others has even caused friends and family to buy it as well.

Yeah. . . this game appears in Dice Tower’s top 100 FOUR TIMES, and is in over TWENTY of their lists. The Bang! card game appears only in the top 10 TURKEYS and Games That Cause Anger lists. Boardgamegeek ranks the dice game at 488, the card game at 1079. I see what you’re saying, but the DG remains a great game for what it is, where as the card game has been bettered MANY times over.

The expansion to the dice game may make it batter for your family. Give it a try, the new role cards have one time use secret abilities that are game changing. The first person eliminated even gets to come back in as a ghost to help from the grave.

I’m sorry to see you didn’t enjoy this one. My gaming group loves to play this as a quick filler game. The more people playing the better the game, 6 or more and you get some fun showdowns. We do love the original as well but you invest a lot more time into it, and if your out first it can make for a long night. I recently found your site, and have really enjoyed your reviews and just wanted to say thank you.

Anonymous – thanks for the comments. I agree with you. Not liking a game is different than saying it’s a bad game. I thought we were very clear in our review about how it plays and why we didn’t like it. We know tons of people love it. Not us. But nowhere did we write that it’s a “bad game”. The same can be said about the comment you made – it’s not a “bad review” just because you disagree it.
