Dr. Chad Rosen is a professor at the Michigan College of Optometry (MCO). After completing his undergraduate education at the University of North Dakota, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Entrepreneurship and a degree in Optometry from the University of the Pacific College of Optometry (PUCO). He then completed a residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at PUCO, followed by a two-year fellowship at MCO’s Vision Institute. Dr. Rosen also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Management Tools and Concepts. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO). In addition, Chad received the VISTAKON Contact Lens Patient Care Excellence Award and the George Mertz Contact Lens Residency Award.
Dr. Rosen has taught many courses at MCO including: Eye Anatomy and Physiology, Practice Management, Environmental Vision, Clinical Problem Solving, and Basic and Advanced Contact Lenses. He is the director of the cornea and contact lens residency and the attending physician for students who provide clinical care to patients in the contact lens clinic. He has been involved in numerous research projects and written publications, and was editor-in-chief of the Journal of Contact Lens Research and Science. Dr. Rosen also enjoys lecturing internationally for practitioners in the contact lens and anterior segment communities.
