The NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Dale Earnhardt Sr. had a son named Ralph Dale Earnhardt Jr. Born on October 10, 1974, Junior is also the grandson of Ralph Earnhardt, the nephew of Kerry Earnhardt, the half-brother of Kelley Earnhardt-Miller and the uncle of Jeffrey Earnhardt. Junior currently partakes in professional stock car racing as an owner, driver and analyst for NASCAR on NBC. He competes semi-frequently in the NASCAR Xfinity series in an 88 Chevrolet Camaro provided by his team JR Motorsports. Additionally, he frequently competes in CARS Late Model Stock Tour races driving a No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro provided by his team JR Motorsports.
Over the course of his career, Earnhardt earned the nickname ‘Pied Piper of Daytona.’ This refers to his success at Daytona International Speedway; he won the Daytona 500 two times. Additionally, he won the Most Popular Driver Award 15 consecutive times from 2003 to 2017.
