Bloodthirsty Islamic State fighters have released a sickening new video of their execution showing a 19-year-old Syrian soldier being run over by a tank. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the soldier in an orange jumpsuit had to admit that he drove a tank over the jihadist’s body.
The ISIS fighter in white told the camera that the soldier’s punishment was to be run over alive by tanks. In gruesome footage, the prisoner was revealed to be 19-year-old Fadi Ammar Zidan, before being handcuffed and placed in the middle of the street.
The man is hit by a tank and the video ends with images of his lifeless body. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said it received information last month that ISIS was using this method to execute soldiers.
The London-based human rights group said it was the first such execution by the terror group. Earlier this week, an American soldier became the first to die fighting ISIS.
Sergeant Major Joshua Wheeler, 39, was killed in a raid in northern Iraq to rescue 69 Iraqis facing execution by Islamic State.
MSgt Wheeler is believed to be a member of the Army’s top-secret Delta Force, whose unit assisted Kurdish fighters in the attack on the Islamic State stronghold of Hawija.
Six Islamic State fighters were captured and more than 20 are reported to have died in the operation.
