Glennice Grace (44) played a key role in the horrific attack on Jumbo last February. Sources surrounding the investigation reported the situation exclusively to RTL Boulevard. The singer took her first hit in Jumbo before a wave of violence targeted employees of the Jordaan in Amsterdam. “What can be seen in the images will be discussed tomorrow and we hope to explain that in court tomorrow”. The 44-year-old singer, whose real name is Glenda Batta, showed up at the supermarket just before 9 p.m. after an incident with her son earlier in the evening. He was shopping with friends, vaped at the cash register and was led outside by a Jumbo employee.
After the boy re-entered through another entrance, he was taken out again. Before the boy was outside, he threw a shopping basket at the staff, which can be clearly seen on the CCTV footage. When an employee then tried to force him to the exit, Glennis’ son caught his foot behind the door and fell. His shoes were lost.
After getting up, the singer’s son hit the employee on the head, which can also be seen in the photo. There was a brief discussion at the exit of the supermarket, and Glennice’s son hit one of the employees on the head again. Not long after, around 7:30 am, the two left.
An hour and a half later Glennis drove to the supermarket. Three other suspects were already waiting for her in front of the jumbo car, according to investigative sources with knowledge of video images of the incident. The group then entered the supermarket through two entrances to look for staff.
Two staff members were locked in a small office by Glennis and another suspect. After a short altercation, the singer hit an employee on the head with a half-open fist. Another employee was dragged out of the office by leaders and beaten by members of the group. A third employee who came to the rescue was also hit.
Glennis also had employees at the booth kneel, according to a source close to the venue. The supermarket then gave chase, with Glennis’s team chasing the store’s employees.
An employee pulled a cart full of cardboard to the side to avoid his attacker. Another was kicked in the face before falling to the ground and attacked by three men. Glennis’ boyfriend at the time put his knee on the man’s chest and punched him in the face. Virtually all incidents in the supermarket have been recorded in detail by security cameras that have been added to the crime file.
After less than ten minutes of fighting, the group left the supermarket. After saying goodbye outside, bumping, kicking or kissing, the singer got back in the car and drove away. She is arrested that night and held at the police station.
