Introducing YouTube Millionaires – a series that features channels that have reached the coveted one million subscriber milestone. With new channels achieving this feat every week, each creator has a unique tale of their success to share. Catch up on previous editions of the series here.
Brought to you by Karat Financial, YouTube Millionaires explores the stories of successful creators. After years of effort, she finally secured a coveted role in the tech industry. Her intention was to build a flourishing career in the field. However, her plans were derailed when she discovered YouTube.
In her initial year of employment, Capri began creating videos with her partner Carter Sharer as a side hustle. Carter, who also held a prominent tech position, took an interest in YouTube’s recommendation algorithms and decided to employ his programming expertise to craft rare, absurd videos with the potential to go viral.
After a few months, Sharer received an AdSense check worth $22,000. Shortly after, his channel’s subscriber count surged past 100,000. For Sharer, this was the indication he needed to leave Silicon Valley and turn to content creation as a full-time career. Capri, who had her own channel by then, was less certain. While 100,000 subscribers were no small feat, she needed further persuasion before bidding farewell to her dream job.
The persuasive power of her content was undeniable. Capri and Sharer’s channels both amassed a million subscribers and continued to flourish. Eventually, Capri bid farewell to LinkedIn and committed to full-time content creation with Sharer in late 2017.
Presently, Capri boasts over 6 million subscribers on her primary account, yet our focus is on her secondary account, where she delves into YouTube Shorts. While established as a long-form content creator, Capri now seeks to master the art of producing shorter videos, just like last week’s YouTube Millionaire, ZHC.
We will allow her to describe it in the text below.
