My sibling Carrie is an extraordinary soul whose passion for animal welfare is unparalleled. Even as a youngster, she would selflessly nurse and nurture every creature that crossed her path. As she matured, she channeled this ardor into an NGO she founded, aptly named “Out-to-Pasture.”
The goal of her mission is to rescue mistreated, broken, and abused animals, nursing them back to health so they can live a happy and comfortable existence.
Despite society’s tendency to discard such beings, Carrie firmly believes in affording every single one of them the opportunity to live a complete and gratifying existence.
She dedicates her life to caring for a menagerie of over 40 cats and dogs, as well as horses, goats, and sheep. She is responsible for their constant needs such as feeding, treating, and comforting them. This level of devotion is all-consuming, leaving little room for anything else.
Despite their disabilities and illnesses, these creatures seem content and satisfied.
The level of activism that Carrie displays is unparalleled, representing the purest form of dedication. Her unwavering commitment to the cause makes me feel like I’m not doing enough.
Despite the passage of time, she never learns to cope with the loss of her disabled animal charges. Each passing and aging creature elicits mourning, making it seem like she’ll never get accustomed to it.
It was evident that an unyielding affection for animals was the driving force behind her actions. Her love for them was reciprocated in full, cementing a bond that was unmistakably mutual.
Many people, including myself, look up to her as a role model because of her steadfast dedication.
Throughout time, her sincere deeds and demeanor showed me the path to follow and the person I aspired to become.
