LA rapper MoneySignSuede has reportedly passed away after being killed in jail. RIP Suede. MoneySign Suede (sometimes stylized as Suede or Moneysign Suede) is a hardworking Mexican-American West Coast rapper, a product of East Los Angeles’ Huntington Park. A MadeinTYO show in 2016 inspired him to rap, and within four years he was signed to Atlantic Records. His mid-2000 single “Back to the Bag” racked up 3 million streams in two years, and he released a self-titled debut EP as well as Grimey Park featuring Swifty Blue and Peysoh. In late 2022, he released his first album, Parkside Baby, an informative, imaginative and well-produced record featuring the singles “Can’t Change” and “Millions”. Before the end of the year, he released an accompanying mixtape, Parkside Santa.

AllHipHop met Moneysign Suede in downtown Los Angeles. Read below as we talk about his LA roots, Madeintyo influence, where he got his name from, new projects, his love of pizza, goals, and more!. In MoneySign Suede’s latest visual for “Millions,” he spouts, “You don’t come from where you come from, that’s the gutter. I want to be rich before I die for my mother. Yes, I’m working with Robber slipped with gunman. Let go of my nigga Polo let him out I miss my brother.”
The song is from MoneySign Suede’s latest project called Parkside Baby, named after his hometown of Huntington Park, Los Angeles. Spanning 15 tracks, the project sees the Los Angeles native at his most vulnerable as he speaks his truth and expresses it with heart on each record.
In his self-description, MoneySign Suede says he’s “a young rapper from Los Angeles, a young Mexican. One of the first Mexicans to really do it like I’m trying to do. Mainstream, I Really want to stand up. Parkside baby, the chosen one. I want to be big. I want to make history. I want to be a legend. I want to be another S###, I’m not a typical rapper.”
Although the 22-year-old only started rapping six years ago, street music has proven to be his lifesaver. To date, he has had stellar collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, Remble, Fenix Flexin and more.

AllHipHop: You said you are not a typical rapper, what is special about you?
MoneySign Suede: What sets me apart is that I’m not a rapper. I’m just different. I’m different. Everyone says they’re different, but I’m really different. I don’t even know how to explain it.
