Where to find Riley McCann on the football field?
Answer: Almost everywhere. The senior showed off his all-round skills last week in Watchung Hills’ 30-7 victory over St Joseph-Metuchen.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder had field goals from 50 yards and 32 yards for extra points on 4-for-4 shooting. pat. Elite kickers usually just kick the ball. However, McCann also played the role of catcher and safety.
He also caught a 65-yard touchdown pass on Saturday and was defended as the Heat won their fourth straight game.

“Riley has contributed tremendously to our team on all three sides of the ball,” Watchung Hills coach Rich Seubert said. “He played for us in WR, DB and was one of the best kickers and players in the state. All the hard work he put in this season has paid off.”
Watchung Hills secured a 5th-place playoff berth in North Group 5 before the regular season finale against Elizabeth. A bona fide student-athlete, McCann notes on his Twitter bio that he has a 3.8 GPA.
“I’m really proud of the leader he’s been on and off the court this season,” Seubert said. “Riley plays well and gets things done in class.”
