The naked body of a glamorous 24-year-old Russian beauty blogger has been found in a suitcase. The murdered woman, Ekaterina K – a doctor specializing in dermatology and sexually transmitted diseases – died after her throat was cut, police said.

Her body was found “in a suitcase” in her rented apartment on Moscow’s Pyryeva Street, leading to a full-scale murder hunt amid suspicions that “jealousy” might have been the motive for her death. Her Instagram account named Katty has 80,000 subscribers. She was reported to have been a contestant in the Moscow beauty pageant and qualified for the prestigious Pirogov Russian State Research Medical University.

She also worked as a doctor at a hospital in the city. Fans say she shares similarities with British actress and style icon Audrey Hepburn.

When Ekaterina stopped answering their calls, her parents became worried. They asked the landlord to inspect their apartment. Her body was found in a suitcase.

According to reports, citing law enforcement sources, police are investigating her love life for clues to the killer. It is understood she broke up with a 32-year-old lover and started a relationship with an older man.

She and the 52-year-old man were planning to travel to the Netherlands, the report said. They added that police were investigating whether “jealousy” was linked to the crime. There were no arrest reports. Her last post was about a trip to Corfu on July 22.
