Reuters, November 13, LONDON – Yevgeny Prigozhin, a close confidant of Russian President Vladimir Putin, claimed on Sunday that a former mercenary who had been seen switching sides in the Ukraine conflict had been slain. Execute by giving someone a sledgehammer to the skull, then turn traitor.
The unconfirmed Telegram video purportedly depicting the execution of a man identified as a former Wagner mercenary prompted Prigorzhin, the Russian tycoon who established Wagner’s private military unit, to comment after acknowledging his own death on September 9. Moon passed away and continued to “battle the Russians.”
The man, Yevgeny Nuzhin, 55, can be seen in the video leaning his head against a brick wall. He claimed that on October 11, he was abducted in Kiev and left to explore the cellar.
I was walking down this basement after getting knocked in the head, the man claimed. “They said I ought to be prosecuted,”
Unknown individual in camouflage lurking behind Nuzhin struck him with a sledgehammer in the head and neck as he was speaking.
The unidentified guy struck Nu Ren on the head once more as he was on the ground.
The Gray Zone Telegram channel, one of many that Russian media claimed was connected to the Wagner gang, was one that Reuters was unable to quickly confirm the video had surfaced on. “Hammer of Vengeance” is the name given to the video.
In a statement made public by his spokeswoman, Prigozin responded to questions about the execution video by stating that it should have been named “A dog suffers the death of a dog.”
